This Privacy Policy explains how Letterwire LLC ("Letterwire," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Letterwire apps and website (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address and, if you choose to provide them, your name, display name, profile photo, bio, location, and website. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from your Google account.
• Your Letterwire email address. We assign you a Letterwire forwarding address so newsletters can be delivered into the app.
• Newsletter content. The core of the Service is receiving, storing, and displaying the newsletters and emails you forward to or receive at your Letterwire address. This content may include whatever the sender included.
• Usage and activity. Reading activity, read/unread state, bookmarks, categories, and in-app events used to operate and improve the Service.
• Social features. If you share newsletters, comment, or mention other users, we store that content and the related connections.
• Device and technical data. Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications) and basic diagnostic/crash data.

How we use your information

• Provide, maintain, and secure the Service (delivering and displaying your newsletters, syncing read state, sending notifications you enable).
• Operate social features you choose to use.
• Diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
• Communicate with you about your account and the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the contents of your newsletters for advertising.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, under agreements that limit their use of it:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Amazon Web Services — inbound email processing (SES), storage (S3), and content delivery (CloudFront).
• Google / Firebase — Google Sign-In, analytics, and push notification delivery.
• Expo — app delivery and push notification routing.
• Sentry — crash and error diagnostics (configured not to send personal data).

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations.

Your rights and choices

• Access and correction. You can view and edit your profile information in the app.
• Deletion. You can delete your account from within the app at any time, which removes your personal data as described above.
• Notifications. You can turn push notifications on or off in your device settings or the app.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, portability, or deletion). Contact us to exercise them.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (including encryption in transit and access controls) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

International users

We operate the Service from, and store data in, the United States. By using the Service you understand your information may be processed in the United States and other countries with different data protection laws.

Third-party content

Newsletters and links displayed in the app come from third parties and are subject to their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above.
